He began selling cybersecurity at XXXX (2014 – 2017) as a global sales manager hunting multinational accounts, reselling vendors such as Palo Alto, and securing 170% of target and the Club 100 Award. He then spent five years at XXXX (formerly Ixia) as Regional Sales Director for HK and Macau, achieving 130% of quota from FY18 to FY21 and taking network visibility share to 75% against Gigamon. At XXXX (2022 – 2023) he covered AppDynamics and ThousandEyes and closed a USD 5M TCV alliance deal. At XXXX (2023 – 2024) he led about three salespeople on cybersecurity and observability. At XXXX (2024 – 2026) he led a regional team of six or seven on a matrix reporting line. He achieved 208% of annual quota in 2024, the highest in Asia Pacific, and 108% in 2025, closing new logos at XXXX, XXXX, XXXX and XXXX.
His strength is new-logo hunting in Hong Kong tier-1 financial services, backed by a CXO-level network and the MEDDIC method. He also has cybersecurity vendor experience in external security ratings (used for cyber insurance) and observability. He is experienced in partner and GSI co-selling, and in leading cross-functional teams of channel managers, BDRs and marketing. He believes modern channel roles require direct selling and good C-level relationships, which fits his hunter profile.
He is strong on closing and quota attainment (208% in 2024 and 108% in 2025), C-level engagement with complex accounts, and fluency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin. His cybersecurity vendor experience is about 2 years at XXXX, plus earlier cybersecurity selling at XXXX, XXXX and XXXX. XXXX sells external risk ratings rather than threat intelligence or detection products, so the product fit is adjacent.
