1. Could you introduce yourself and tell us about you? Your current / recent jobs and employers? Previous companies and jobs?
He is currently with XXXX doing Inside Sales Representative where he manages the territory of small to medium businesses; he’s basically in the acquisition team which is a fairly new team in the company. He is basically managing the sales pipeline from start to the end, following up with all the prospects from the beginning, and work with a lot of different partners, channel distributors, and a lot of people within the technical team. On a daily basis, he is responsible for outbound prospecting, outbound calling, cold calling, emails, and such. He is qualified in cybersecurity with CISP certification so it’s helping with what he’s doing right now with cybersecurity conversations. In terms of products he’s handling in this company, it’s mainly hardware client devices, peripherals, servers, and has sold cloud as well. Right now, he wants to be more involved with client solutions and building/integrating a solution within their client’s applications.
Previously, he was on the technical side of things and was a Systems Engineer with XXXX where he was more focused on in-house support, he managed client to back-end infrastructure, and was the point of contact for any users who had any sort of issues; he was responsible for doing follow-ups with them as well. Apart from that, he took a lot of different responsibilities including being involved with cybersecurity activities, did supply chain security assessments, which led to him being awarded with a Global Award as well, and also took in-charge of a phishing e-mail campaigns within the business.
2. What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in?
Strongest skill would be his communication skills and listening skills, on top of his problem-solving skills; he believes these are all essential for a sales person to be successful in the field. He finds value in listening to customers, what they really need/want, and do consultative approach and provide a solution for them. He can speak fluent Cantonese so he can work effectively within the HK local market and since he has worked in HK for over seven years, he is also knowledgeable with the working culture. He has consistently exceeded his targets in the past two quarters with about 214% and 148% attainment consecutively; the biggest deal he has closed was about a 140K USD which he worked on together with a partner and mainly was a client solution.
