1. Could you introduce yourself and tell us about you? Your current / recent jobs and employers? Previous companies and jobs?
He is currently working with XXXX as a Channel & CBA (Consumer Business Alliance) Manager where they are partnering with telcos, e-wallets, and enterprise companies with big customer base, mostly in Vietnam. Their channel means traditional distributions network, such as offline retail network, offline shop, and such. On a daily basis, he is in-charge of B2C business segment in Vietnam; he’s also doing business development for them.
Before this, most of his roles are sales and business development related. He was with XXXX previously, a blockchain company, that has different products and partners including MNOs, Telcos, and also e-wireless providers; he was in-charge of most the Southeast Asia markets including Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines, Singapore, and more. He was also with XXXX as a Sales Director and XXXX as a BD Director, both are payment gateway companies and they work with content providers, telco, and e-wallets.
2. What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in?
Strongest skill would be business development and sales since he has been doing that for the past 15-20 years now. Most of the time he has worked with the mobile payment and technology industry, even though his hands-on cybersecurity is just in his current company, he also have partnered up previously with cybersecurity companies, telcos, e-wallet providers, bank, or financial institutions in general.
During his time with XXXX, he had to start and set up their business in Vietnam and within only the first year, he covered 100% of the markets already with four deals with Google Play; he also signed multiple telcos during that time. In his current company, he has managed to grow up the channels to 122% against their target and about 44% year-on-year growth.
3. Do you have the lists of key criteria’s according to the clients’ requirements?
He has about a year of traditional channel experience in Vietnam and about 10+ years of experience within building partnerships and channels within the Southeast Asia including Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Bangladesh, and even India; right now, he’s mainly focused in Vietnam. Some of his cybersecurity clients before would include McAfee although he doesn’t have strong partnership ecosystems yet within the broader APAC.
