When the company shifted away from the Hong Kong market, he transitioned to a Software Account Manager role at a real estate, insurance, consulting, and software firm, where he was responsible for specialized software designed for actuaries. Currently taking a break, his expertise remains focused on IT support and software sales. - What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in?
He has expertise in working closely with clients, addressing their challenges regularly. His experience includes handling software sales inquiries, understanding client requirements, and transforming them into effective software solutions. His background also covers account management, software sales, and IT support, demonstrating confidence in these areas. - Do you have the lists of key criteria’s according to the clients’ requirements?
He mentioned that most of his customers use Windows, with some using Unix or Linux. His primary focus is software support, particularly IBM software, which requires knowledge of the operating system it runs on. If the client operates on Windows, the software runs on that OS, requiring familiarity with both the software and the OS. He clarified that WTW software will be the core product supported, not the Windows OS itself. While basic knowledge of infrastructure components like Oracle, SQL Server, Active Directory, and Windows Server is necessary, providing direct OS support isn’t part of the responsibility. For instance, with the WTW portal, they can’t insist on Windows updates.
