1. Could you introduce yourself and tell us about you? Your current / recent jobs and employers? Previous companies and jobs?
He is originally from India and has been working in Japan for the last 8 years; he has about 15 years of total experience now into the automotive embedded domain, mainly software, ADAS, and so on. He is currently a System Engineer in XXXX where he’s talking to customers on a daily basis, checking inputs from them, creating system requirements, and giving walkthrough to the engineers in India; aside from that, he’s involved with taking queries from the engineering team to the customers and vice versa. Aside from the technical side of things, he is also involved with review meeting of the requirements, design, and so on.
Before this, he was with XXXX as a Research & Development Engineer where he was responsible for maintaining the software platform for the Around View and Auto Park System, also involved with the maintenance, analysis and fixing bugs, preparation of the analysis reports, creating software design documents, and so on. He spent about 8 years before that in XXXX as a Senior Lead Engineer, started with them as an Onsite Engineer for Toyota vehicles, mainly working on active safety features.
2. What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in?
Strongest skill would be anything related to software platform development, low-level development, and device drivers as well; he’s good with working on full system development, getting requirements from customer, up until the final release of the product to the customer. On the technical side, he’s good with different communication protocols and technologies/tools as well.
3. Do you have the lists of key criteria’s according to the clients’ requirements?
He has 15 years of experience in the embedded software engineering, and has been in the automotive domain as well for the same number of years. Strong with C/C++ programming languages, RTOS (AUTOSAR), and CAN Communication protocols such as I2C, ADC. He also has great exposure with lab hardware equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and more.
