1. Could you introduce yourself and tell us about you? Your current / recent jobs and employers? Previous companies and jobs?
He has overall 17+ years of experience in the automotive domain, completed his graduation in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering. Then he started his career with XXXX in Pune as a Software Developer (Embedded Software Engineer); he was working basically on the right-hand side of the software development cycle which includes verification and validation. He mostly contributed on those type of activities starting from unit testing, function testing, interface testing, and so on. Apart from that, he has been involved with actual software implementation, bugs, and more; his main focus back then was writing unit tests to find out whether the interfaces are working properly or not. Some of the customers he worked with there includes Denmark customers and Daimler Chrysler where he worked on model-based development, contributing to the application development in the model’s reverse engineering.
Later on, he joined XXXX where he started as a Software Unit Developer and worked with European customers and engage with most Japanese OEMs in the market (Nissan and other tier-1 suppliers). He also acted as a Bridge Engineer before where he supported customers and offshore development centers, drive engagements, and from the last six years, he has been working individually in two different units and engagements. He’s looking at the end-to-end responsibility from the start of the project initiation, RF preparing, RFQ response, preparing schedules, and so on. He’s working right now in the EV (Battery Management System) domain, some exploration with body control modules, and such. Even though he’s a Technical Lead now, he’s still heavily involved in the development side of things and has the full ownership for delivering the complete software.

2. What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in?
Strongest skill would be platform development and software development in general; he’s strong with ECU software development. Aside from the software engineering, he also has worked on system engineering and supported any requirements from their customers during the system engine phase.

3. Do you have the lists of key criteria’s according to the clients’ requirements?
He has been doing embedded software engineering for the past 15-17 years of his career; has always been in the automotive domain and has worked with OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers including Nissan, Mitsubishi, Mazda, and more. He has done all his development in Embedded C and has widely used CAN protocols for end-to-end software development, OTA, and other functionalities like vehicle network communication, and more; willing to learn more about hands-on RTOS. He is also well-versed in using different hardware tools like oscilloscopes, multimeters, and is involved with testing as well. Always refers to data sheet and schematics when doing his projects.
