1. Could you introduce yourself and tell us about you? Your current / recent jobs and employers? Previous companies and jobs?
She has been living in Japan for about 5 years now and did her undergrad as well. She graduated last year from XXXX with degree in Information Science. Her thesis was heavily focused on ML and right now, she’s working with XXXX as a Machine Learning Engineer and Data Scientist where they improve the interior space for automotive, try and provide ML solutions, and such. She is working on two projects at the moment including a Motion Sickness Suppression System, where they work out some algorithms to kind of mitigate motion sickness and also delay the onset of it; the other project is related to biosensing seat where they developed a seat that focuses on getting the vitals of the passengers and drivers. On a daily basis, she is involved with planning experiments, getting data related to cars such as accelerometer, gyroscope, and other IMU sensors to be able to analyse them and get some insights.
2. What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in?
Strongest skill would be programming and data analysis since these two would be her core responsibility in her current role. She is good with analysing data, creating pipelines, models, getting insights from data, and then proposing solutions to their customers/clients. In terms of the tools, she uses Python for coding and AWS for cloud; also uses ML for several algorithms, logistic regressions, linear regression, and bit of software development as well using React.
3. Do you have the lists of key criteria’s according to the clients’ requirements?
She has been using Python for her current role and can confidently use this for programming, along with Jupyter, AWS, and Machine Learning tools. She also has great knowledge and hands-on with algorithms, software development, and has been in the automotive space for more than a year now.
