1. Could you introduce yourself and tell us about you? Your current / recent jobs and employers? Previous companies and jobs?
Came to Japan after graduating from Korea, then taking up his Masters. He first worked with XXXX in Korea as a System Engineer and then when he moved to Japan, he joined XXXX as a System Engineer where he worked with different clients, mostly involved in the development of Blu-ray recorders, supported AV group on implementations and did source code reviews/optimization as well. After that, he moved to XXXX as a Field Application Engineer where he supported Japanese automotive companies tier one such as Denso, Panasonic, and all; he has worked there for Toyota, Nissan, Daimler, etc.) After that, had a short stint with XXXX as a Senior System Engineer and XXXX as a Senior Field Application Engineer, and in between, was a Senior Field Application Engineer for XXXX where he worked on both presales and post sales for their imaging & computer vision DSP, and supported vendors such as Sony, Renesas, Panasonic, Toshiba, and others. Currently, he is with XXXX as a Staff Field Application Engineer where he promotes their software and AI products especially for Japanese automotive customers along with training them on how to use it; he also focuses on presales activities on this company and has worked with different customers such as Woven, Toyota, Denso, and others. Previously in Korea, he also has run, debugged, and support customers with AI-related software so he is also keen in this field of work if ever.
2. What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in?
Strongest skill would be facing customers; during his time as an FAE for about 10+ years, he loves going to customers and working with them either on promoting or training. He is also good in developing and maintaining a software by himself but also prefers to support customers and work on any customer-facing task especially on the automotive field.
3. Do you have the lists of key criteria’s according to the clients’ requirements?
He has more than 10 years of experience in field applications and technical support, mostly involved in both presales and post sales activities for most of his companies, recent and previous. Most of the previous products he has worked on are electronics, automotive, and AI-related products. He is currently based in Tokyo so he would prefer roles in Tokyo or around Tokyo ie. Kanagawa.
