1. Could you introduce yourself and tell us about you? Your current / recent jobs and employers? Previous companies and jobs?
His career background is within the hotel industry, has spent more than 30 years in hotel management and operations; also has 9 years of experience as a performance consultant for hotel management. The earlier years of his career were spent outside Japan but since he came back, he joined XXXX as a General Manager, mostly managed full compliance to hotel operating controls and such. After that, he joined XXXX in Niseko where he managed more than 90 suites and penthouses residential hotels before moving to XXXX as a Director of Operations. Afterwards, he joined XXXX in Otaru and moved to Fukui with XXXX as a General Manager where he had to leave due to a surgery. He is now with XXXX as a Hospitality Manager where he is in charge of the financial performance of the hotel from day-to-day, month to date, and year to date against their budget and discuss with managers and department heads if there are any areas that needs attention; apart from that, he is also involved with giving the best guest experience, reviewing their comments and feedback, and discuss with department heads on what and which to implement. Lastly, he also works on the operation side and attend to special requirements, prepare for guest arrival and mainly back of the house operational environment.
2. What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in?
Strongest skill would be his ability in sales and marketing since he initially came from that background, mainly for hotels. Also, good with operational management and has been doing this for more than 30 years now.
