1. Could you introduce yourself and tell us about you? Your current / recent jobs and employers? Previous companies and jobs?
He’s currently working with XXXX as a Senior Software Project Manager where he is responsible for the software release of their products, both old and new that they support; he’s also in charge of the quality assurance for most of their embedded products, as well as other consumer products such as headphones and earbuds. Basically, he put together the software management and software quality assurance, he’s in-charge currently of up to 30 people and teams across Japan, Australia, US, as well as UK. Before this, he was with XXXX as a Regional Representative Director, initially Program Manager, where he was doing project/program management for mobile devices. He was also in-charge of the software development for embedded software projects for set-top boxes, IP set-top boxes, and so on. He started his career as an embedded software developer/software development engineer for several companies.
2. What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in?
Strongest skills would be release management and software project management since he has been doing that for the past decades. He is also good with product management and can be confident being involved in its full cycle including feature management, and so on. In terms of products/projects, he has mostly worked with consumer-based ones such as smartphones, tablets, earbuds, and other electronic devices such as speaker, amplifier, and so on.
3. Do you have the lists of key criteria’s according to the clients’ requirements?
He has almost 30 years now in the engineering industry, started as a developer himself then gradually moved up to project/program/product management later on. He has strong grasp of embedded software development and has used C/C++ before, although he’s not hands-on with it as of the moment and is more focused into the management side of things; he has about 20 years of experience in managing people and teams.
