1. Could you introduce yourself and tell us about you? Your current / recent jobs and employers? Previous companies and jobs?
He’s working with Japanese IT companies and industry for almost 10 years now. He started his career as a System Engineer with XXXX where he was involved with diagnosing and troubleshooting software issues. He also worked with XXXX as a Bridge Engineer for Portugal development team and Japan team. After that, he moved to XXXX with the same position and was doing maintenance and operation of SAP plants; he also coordinated with vendors back then regarding application issues and problems. Then he worked with XXXX as an Application Engineer and Release Technical Lead where he was responsible for investigating the cause of errors, creating/running unit tests, and design/development of new functions for their web applications. He is now with XXXX as a Project Manager where he manages offshore teams with 10-12 members; on a daily basis, he negotiates with client/customer side, create proposal documents, and do requirement analysis as well. Aside from those, he’s the one doing the schedule management, system architecture, and database design as well.
2. What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in?
Strongest skills would be managing team from Japan and offshore ones since he has been doing it for quite a while now. He also considers his bilingual skills as one of his strengths since he’s a fluent English speaker and N2-level Japanese speaker; can communicate using both for internal and external needs. In terms of industry, he has been with automobile industry, ecommerce, and SaaS-based industries.
3. Do you have the lists of key criteria’s according to the clients’ requirements?
He only has few months of experience in SAP, mainly in ABAP and Plant Maintenance; has knowledge about it but would not consider himself an expert in it. Nonetheless, he’s open to consider jobs within SAP technical if given the chance. He would be more interested with project management and application engineering roles.
