1. Could you introduce yourself and tell us about you? Your current / recent jobs and employers? Previous companies and jobs?
He is originally from Indonesia and has been living in Japan for more than 8 years now. After graduation, he had an opportunity to work with XXXX, which is an automotive company, as a System and Software Engineer mostly involved with development for Advanced Driving Assistance System, mainly for self-driving technology for their vehicles. After that, he moved to XXXX as a Sr. Application Engineer and mostly focused as a Field Application engineer where he had to communicate with customers, bridging the R&D and customers, and other functional teams as well such as marketing, sales, and others. He has supported customers there so aside from software/hardware engineering, he’s also involved on the business side. He then pursued his MBA and helped one of his friends to build a startup for EV chargers as a Software Engineer. After that, he found an opportunity with XXXX as a Global Product Manager where he’s managing portfolios of electronic parts, connectors, and penetrate new markets in Europe, US, and creating new customers as well. His daily responsibilities there include creating strategy for certain products, create demo videos, web pages about their products, and review if the products will sell on the market and be profitable. On the other side, he’s closely communicating with engineering teams, manufacturing, and such.
2. What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in?
Strongest skill would be within semiconductors, electronics, and the automotive fields; he’s involved in both the technical side of things (hardware, software) and the business side as well on these fields. He has great communication skills and can communicate with suppliers both locally and globally, internal teams, and customers.
