  1. Could you introduce yourself and tell us about you? Your current / recent jobs and employers? Previous companies and jobs?
He has 8 years of experience in Business Development within the AdTech industry, with strong exposure to both B2B and B2C sales cycles across the Japan market. He began his career as a Business Development Executive at XXXX, where his day-to-day work focused on prospecting app developers, publisher, qualifying inbound leads, and supporting senior BD staff on partnership pitches. He then moved to XXXX as a Business Development Manager, his daily work included outbound prospecting, running discovery calls, negotiating revenue-share and IO terms, and coordinating with product and ad ops teams on integration and campaign setup. In this role he was exposed to both B2B deal cycles with agencies and brands, and B2C-facing publisher partnerships, giving him a well-rounded view of the AdTech ecosystem. He progressed to XXXX as a Senior Business Development Manager, where his responsibilities expanded to leading strategic partnership deals and managing a small pipeline of enterprise advertiser accounts. He worked cross-functionally with legal, finance, and product teams to structure and close complex, multi-stakeholder partnership agreements, and regularly represented the company at industry events and client meetings. Currently, he is a Business Development Manager at XXXX, where he leads new business generation across both publisher partnerships and direct advertiser relationships in Japan. He owns the full deal cycle from prospecting and pitching through contract negotiation and onboarding, and works closely with regional and global teams to expand XXXX’s presence in the Japan market. In his current role he has generated over 350M JPY in annual new business revenue, and has successfully closed multiple 7.2M USD annual deals with major publishers.
  1. What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in?
His strongest skill is new business development within AdTech – he is highly experienced at identifying, prospecting, and closing both publisher partnerships and advertiser/agency relationships across B2B and B2C sales motions. He is skilled at structuring revenue-share and partnership agreements, running commercial negotiations, and navigating multi-stakeholder deal cycles involving legal, finance, and product teams. He is also recognized for his relationship-building, having built and maintained a strong network of publisher contacts across the Japan market that he leverages for new deal sourcing and repeat business. He is comfortable presenting and negotiating fluently in both English and Japanese, allowing him to work seamlessly with global HQ teams as well as local publishers, agencies, and brands.
