1. Could you introduce yourself and tell us about you? Your current / recent jobs and employers? Previous companies and jobs?
He has been in the semiconductor industry for almost 30 years now. He finished his MBA and Diploma in Electronics and Electrical. After that, he went into the production industry, worked for a couple of years in production floor, and then went into XXXX. After that, he joined a few other companies and then started doing sales; his first permanent job was with XXXX as a Sales Manager where he did mechanical sales, pneumatics, and hydraulics. He worked with XXXX after that as a Senior Sales Manager where he was involved with Failure Analysis of Semiconductor before moving to XXXX as a Sales Manager. He went back to the industry after that and worked with XXXX as an Assistant Sales Manager where he helped set up the hydraulics and pneumatics division then ended up with XXXX as a Sales Manager/Operations where he spearheaded the sales management and took care of three branches around Malaysia; he also did failure analysis and reliability applications back then. After a few years, he moved to XXXX as a Sales Manager where he had the experience from front of line to back of line, from manufacturing, packaging, testing, and the whole semiconductor process. Currently, he’s working with XXXX as a Senior Regional Sales Manager where he’s doing more into front of line such as wafer preparations, dicing preparations, and die prep. He has a pool of customers here and on a daily basis, he takes care of key accounts, talks to customers, and is doing a couple of projects around Malaysia.
2. What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in?
Strongest skill would be convincing customers, he’s great with customer service, customer relationship, customer satisfaction, and handling customers overall. He has great communication skills as well and can do presentations with customers effectively; overall, he’s good with being a solution provider.
One of his achievements was opening up an account for Texas Instruments in their company, another one would be with Infineon, and another with AT&S; considers himself strong with opening up new accounts and creating opportunities with customers. In terms of revenue, biggest one he closed so far was about 1.5M USD in sales this quarter.
3. Do you have the lists of key criteria’s according to the clients’ requirements?
He has more than 25 years of experience in doing sales and business development; his experience is heavily on the semiconductor and electronics side. He is currently an individual contributor but previously was managing about 6 people including a service manager, three service guys under him, and two sales people; he reports to the higher management right now.
