1. Could you introduce yourself and tell us about you? Your current / recent jobs and employers? Previous companies and jobs?
He’s now a Certified Engineer after completing his Apprenticeship Program with XXXX, where he and his team engineered an end-to-end demand forecasting solution for a major retail client in Singapore. He attended the 9-month program with them and it started off with a two-month deep scaling in AI followed with seven months of hands-on project work. The project they did, as mentioned previously, was for a local major retail company to help them build a forecasting solution. On a daily basis, he worked with his team in every phase of the project; he was the one responsible for building a neural network model, long/short-term memory for the demand forecasting, and focused on that until the end of the project.
Before this, he had 6 years of global consulting experience in different companies, mostly net sustainability sector. His first job was a Senior Engineer for an environmentally sustainable design where he oversaw rebuilding certifications for real estate projects. After that, he joined a UK-based company to advise global clients on converting their data into a model, so they can develop actionable decarbonisation strategies including creating digital twins to assess the performance of energy-saving technologies. He also worked with a startup where he applied data analysis to optimize the digital models. His passion right now would be leveraging machine learning to extract profile insights from complex data sets, and he’s driven to deliver impactful AI solutions that advise sustainability and business value.

2. What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in?
Strongest skill would be his expertise in simulation modeling for net zero for the built environment since he has spent many years in that industry. Apart from that, he’s good with building anything from scratch especially in the AI space.

3. Do you have the lists of key criteria’s according to the clients’ requirements?
He has almost a year of hands-on experience now with AI/ML engineering and he also spent a few years studying/developing his skills in this area. Strong expertise with Python and would be willing to learn more about micro services and APIs as well since they didn’t had the chance to do that on the apprenticeship program. Has knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes for containerization as well.
