Interview Assessment Notes

1. Could you introduce yourself and tell us about you? Your current / recent jobs and employers? Previous companies and jobs?
He considers himself strong when it comes to being a Director and Exec-level role; he’s very technical, understands networking, architecture, development, analysis, while at the same time, being proficient with client relations, vendor management, managing budgets, plans, timelines, delivery, and even people. His last role was with XXXX as a Senior Programme Director where his role was to lead and deploy sovereign AI data centres; they had a partner in the UAE which was XXXX, they were responsible for sourcing data centre locations and once they’ve done that, they will hand it over to XXXX so he and his team can go in, plan, and design a data centre from end-to-end. Their work there includes sourcing new equipment, vendors, building up the solution design (high-level, low-level), shipping of equipment, working on customs, regulations, compliance, and up to deployment. He managed to get XXXX 5 Global Awards, he himself got the Global Leader and Global Project Delivery Leader, and also secured an MBA last year. During his time with XXXX, he considered himself a strong candidate for their leadership area; he was proficient in doing both exec-level and director-level roles and responsibility when it comes to the technical side including data centre delivery, and such.
His career was specialized in data centres, financial data, delivering large transformations, large change for organizations, system and platform, upgrades, migrations, and so on. Over the last 2 years, he has managed budgets of over 2B USD in this region used in project delivery. He has managed team in every single region in APAC (China, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore), in the USA, and rest of the world; he has managed about 140-170 people, depending on different data centre deliveries.

2. What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in?
Strongest skill would be delivering large-scale programmes for the last 25 years, and he has never failed on any delivery so far. He’s good with building teams, leading them in a way that they enjoy working for him, and he just enjoys bringing people together. On top of that, he’s proficient on the technical side of things and is knowledgeable on every detail about what they are delivering; he understands how backend, frontend networks work, he can cable and build, he can network, and he believes it’s a very good strength because when delivering transformation, system platform, even data centre, you have to deal with issues more than 5 to 6 times a day so you have to be quick in resolving issues with a quick turnaround time.
