1. Could you introduce yourself and tell us about you? Your current / recent jobs and employers? Previous companies and jobs?
His last job was with XXXX as a Growth Product Manager, where the core of his role is everything across the entire customer lifecycle from acquisition to activation to retention, monetization, churn, upsell, upgrades, across a base of 410K+ customers. The objective of his job was to drive growth across the areas of revenue and customer base; he was responsible for finding zero to 1 products and services, optimization of existing journeys, and using insights/data to drive that. He have used three layers of insight back then including data insight, qualitative data, and market dynamics: the 1st layer which was data insight includes looking at commercial data, behavioural analysis, product data (daily/monthly active usage) and such to identify gaps and challenges to increase revenue and margin across the business and overall profitability, the 2nd one would be his use of lot of qualitative data such as getting feedback directly from customers, listening to customer care calls, reading customer chats, and so on to improve the customer experience, and the 3rd layer was just keeping up with where the market was and where their competitors were, both on a local and global level, to ensure that they were meeting market expectations and were competing directly, and see product or service fit into the wider business portfolio. He worked very closely with the product tech engineering, marketing teams, and ensuring that everything fits in the roadmap.
Before this, he was with XXXX as a B2B Growth Lead where he led a team of 6 people and did a growth role as well. He worked across the entire customer lifecycle from acquisition to retention, monetization, upgrade, upsell, and a very cross-functional role there as well. He also did the same thing with XXXX as a Lifecycle & Commercial Strategy Lead where he worked on customer lifecycle, cross-functionally, identifying growth opportunities, and using data, listening to customers, tracking competitors, and such. In summary, his background is in product and growth, identifying initiatives they can launch to improve the profitability and revenue of the businesses using zero to 1 launches, introducing new/existing customer journeys, and so on. The last 10 years have been more focused on the commercial growth and product, mostly subscription businesses, SaaS, and similar ones.
2. What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in?
Strongest skill would be using data, leveraging customer feedback, and doing market research to be able to translate all of that information into a product, a zero to 1 launch, optimize the existing portfolio, and turn it into revenue growth and meeting business objectives and customer needs. He is quite flexible when it comes to industry but to summarize his experience, he has always been into consumer tech app busineses, Fintech, digital banking, eSim, travel tech, super apps, and anything subscription or SaaS businesses.
For the team/people management, he has managed a team of 6 direct reports back in XXXX and would be comfortable doing lead roles again going forward. In his last role, he drove an 8M AED ARR with 5% user adoption within just 3 months of launch and then generated another 2M EUR in incremental revenue annually; shifted that mix from 20% to 35%.
