Interview Assessment Notes

1.       Could you introduce yourself and tell us about you? Your current / recent jobs and employers? Previous companies and jobs?

He has over 6 years of experience having transitioned from Oracle development to the Salesforce ecosystem in 2020. He currently leads a dual-functional team, overseeing both the technical IT roadmap for developers and the strategic execution of the merchandising team (catalogs, promotions, and Page Designer). His expertise is defined by managing extreme traffic spikes for a leading international brand, where he architects systems capable of processing over 200,000 orders within a 30-minute window. As the final gatekeeper for production code, he enforces rigorous performance monitoring and SFCC standards to ensure site stability during high-stakes sales events that occur every two months. Technically, he specializes in SFRA (Storefront Reference Architecture) customization for multi-site, international deployments across the UAE, US, UK, and Pakistan. He champions a “plug-and-play” architectural approach, utilizing a modular cartridge structure and site preferences to enable or disable features at runtime without code deployments. By leveraging shared data libraries and reusable code standards, he ensures that new storefronts can be launched rapidly and efficiently. His role is deeply cross-functional, bridging the gap between technical teams and stakeholders in SEO, marketing, and warehouse logistics to deliver scalable, globally-aligned e-commerce solutions.

2.       What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in?

Strongest skills would be (SFCC) through extreme-performance engineering and the ability to seamlessly integrate SFCC with complex third-party systems. He argues that high-level architecture is impossible without a “complete knowledge of merchandising,” allowing him to lead both IT and business teams with equal authority. His skill set is anchored by two pillars: the deep technical “grip” required to maintain site stability under massive transaction loads and a strategic leadership capability that ensures technical roadmaps are perfectly aligned with merchandising functionalities like product catalogs and promotions.

3.       Do you have the lists of key criteria’s according to the clients’ requirements?

He has over 7 years of experience in Salesforce Commerce Cloud. In his role, he is responsible for the design and implementation of promotions and campaigns. He has worked with a vast portfolio of high-end retail brands—including Swarovski, Lacoste, and Armani Beauty—where maintaining accurate digital content across storefronts is essential to project delivery. As an Architect who leads end-to-end technical architecture and manages the SFRA (Storefront Reference Architecture) codebase, he possesses an expert-level understanding of the Business Manager tools required to configure and customize these features for business users. Moreover, he specifically handles the implementation of promotions and campaigns and integrates third-party services like CRM and PIM, which are critical for advanced personalization and dynamic content targeting. And he collaborates with UI/UX and QA teams to deliver “robust eCommerce experiences” and defines development standards and best practices for multiple teams. He also performs performance audits to ensure site stability.
