He is currently with XXXX as a Cloud Engineer, he’s mostly working on private cloud and OpenStack as a technology. His key responsibility in this role would be delivering high quality and stable service across the Network Cloud estate comprising of 24+ sites consisting of 200+ nodes; he is the one deploying and maintaining multiple platforms and is a part of the specialist team, as well as helping 2nd and 3rd line support when required. At the moment, they’re undergoing through upgrading of about 32 sites; they’re draining the sites, dealing with their main clients including a mobile provider and an emergency traffic. His previous role was with XXXX as a Network Systems Engineer where he was mostly using Azure DevOps; he was doing administration back then including updating of DNS records, renewing service principals, and updating secret keys within subscriptions to allow for deployments on DevOps.
2. What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in?
Strongest skill would be Linux, and can say he’s very proficient in that area together with Ubuntu. He’s good handling different storages including pure storage, infinite storage, and more. He considers it an achievement whenever they do an upgrading of sites without causing any traffic issues for their clients or them feeling an impact.
