Previous companies and jobs?  He has been a technical writer for about 20-21 years now and has worked on many international companies such as XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX. Currently, he’s a Technical Writer for XXXX, which is a growing startup, where he creates both Chinese and English documentation mainly related to cloud database products, he worked on quick start guide, data migration docs, and some reference docs as well. Previously, he was a Documentation Manager for XXXX where he was handling documentation for financial and fintech products. Also was with XXXX as a Documentation Leader where he again handled cloud products, internal documentation, and translation of their product documentations as well. On the earlier years of his career, he has worked with XXXX for Office 365 products, XXXX for internal documentation products, XXXX for their products including user guides, installation guides, and release notes, and started with XXXX where he did documentation for data communication products. 2. What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in?  Strongest skill would be his sense of writing, he can dive deep into customer’s requirements, and improve the documentation experience for them. He has lots of experience in revamping as many documentation websites as he can to improve the experience, including UI, layout, organization of topics and contents, and such. 3. Do you have the lists of key criteria’s according to the clients’ requirements? Has more than 20 years of experience in technical writing mostly for cloud, software, and financial products. He has great knowledge of technical standards, directives, and compliance as well. For Adobe Suite tools, he’s well-versed with FrameMaker and is also keen to learn more about InDesign and Illustrator; currently, he’s mainly using GitHub and VSCode since most of their products are open source. Even though he has mostly worked on the software side of things, he would be comfortable working with consumer products such as electronics and appliances.

Previous companies and jobs?  She has been into Technical Writing for almost three years now and is currently working for XXXX where she is involved in both writing and illustrating for their product manuals mainly in home and living space; that includes fridge, air conditioner, faucets for watering, and stuff. Their main language in creating all their materials is English and uses different tools such as Dita oXygen XML for writing, Illustrator for illustrations/diagrams in the manuals, and GHub as their content management system. Before this, she was with XXXX Group also as a Technical Writer and has for XXXX where she was mainly involved with industry electric components such as switchers, electric cabinets mainly for factory and public transportation; she also created documentations there for mechanical and electronic products including user manuals, installation guides, replacement/maintenance instruction guides, and leaflets. 2. What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in?  Strongest skill would be technical writing since she has been doing this for more than 3 years now and wants to improve her skills in Dita writing as well; she’s very interested with oXygen XML writing and also sees herself improving with creating illustrations. Apart from that, she can create manuals from scratch including contents and illustration so she considers that as one of her strengths. Rates herself a 4.5 out of 5 in technical writing and leaves space for improvement. 3. Do you have the lists of key criteria’s according to the clients’ requirements? She has about 3+ years of experience in technical writing; knowledgeable with the standards and compliances, she frequently has to get in touch with their compliance teams and has knowledge of the different compliance in Europe, America, and Asia. She has strong hands-on experience working on electronics and consumer products, and anything related to engineering. Excellent with Adobe Suite especially Illustrator, also good with XML documentation, and has been involved with translation checks previously in Chinese, and also learning Spanish currently.

1. Could you introduce yourself and tell us about you? Your current / recent jobs and employers? Previous companies and jobs?  He is originally from Slovakia but has studied abroad all his life. After his Master’s degree in Journalism, he went immediately into freelance works and has worked in both English and Slovak which is his native language for few years. He worked on all sorts of publications, did lots of fellowships, and cross-border journalism stuff. He also was with XXXX previously as a News & Assignment Editor, also served as a Coordinating & Field Producer for them where he worked on desk, coordinated, navigated, curated, and edited the whole of international coverage for XXXX. It became challenging for him when he moved to Hong Kong full time because of the working hours so he moved to XXXX as a Senior News Editor where he did a similar job to his previous one, worked with planning logistics teams, he also moved on to the digital team with them once they shifted from TV to digital; he was the one leading the news coverage and news gathering until this April when he decided to take a bit of a break. 2. What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in?  Strongest skill would be his proficient writing skills since his job is to put out information to an entire network including thousands of people and millions of viewers. He is great with writing, editing, and copyediting as well; on top of that, he’s good with coordination and management since he has to work on the ground/field and behind the desk at times.

Previous companies and jobs?  She finished her studies in Information Technology and after that started to work with XXXX as a Senior Technical Editor where she primarily worked with open source technologies and after that, started her career with technical writing across multiple organizations including XXXX, XXXX, and also was a Process Manager – Onsite Documentation Specialist at XXXX where she provided documentation support for their onsite projects including SOPs, Process maps, user manuals, and facilitator’s guide for different tools. Her last role in India was an Associate Manager for Knowledge Management with XXXX where she worked with Scrum teams and Product Owners in sprints of Agile environment, attended walkthroughs and demos as well to fully understand feature and documentation requirements; she was working on their Salesforce platform and online retail segment as well basically on consumer goods and services. She was previously with XXXX in Hong Kong as a Contract Technical Writer where she reorganized and revamped their existing contents and had to streamline a document on settlement processes. She is currently doing a contractual role with XXXX as a Technical Writer; she has worked across multiple types of documents and domains spanning from finance, online retails, digital analytics, investment banking, and others, mostly on SOPs, process maps, release notes, contract notes, online helps, and different tools as well such as Word, MadCap Flare, FrameMaker, and Visio for process maps as well as editing tools including Paint and Adobe. 2. She has almost 15 years of experience now with Technical Writing and has great exposure to technical documentation, standards, and directives. Previous companies and jobs?  She has been into technical writing and instructional designing since she started her career for more than 10 years now. Before moving to Hong Kong, she was already working in India for multinational companies such as XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, and has been into writing of training materials for variety of audiences from different sectors: financial, pharmaceuticals, and even software companies. Coming from the Philippines after a short break, they moved to Hong Kong and joined XXXX where she did technical writing and creating of user manuals for different clients and products. She then had an offer from XXXX and worked there for about two years before COVID happened. After that, she had an opportunity with XXXX as a Learning Consultant where she worked on client office which was XXXX, she was not doing any direct writing here but more on the learning and development side of things. Her last role was a contractual with XXXX as a Knowledge Management Associate for one of their clients, the role was more on knowledge management, updating the existing training materials they have, collaborating with different teams to create some video tutorials, and such. 2. What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in?  Strongest skill would be more into technical writing, creating training materials, and translating complex topics into something that can be easily understandable by different audiences. In terms of the tools, she’s mainly using Adobe InDesign; also has knowledge of Illustrator but since it’s mostly used for designing, she hasn’t used it yet in a professional setting. 3. She has over 10 years of experience into technical documentation and writing, and has worked already on different sectors depending on her company’s clients. She’s also responsible for maintaining the language quality and the general accuracy of the materials, also involved in producing e-resources in various projects such as animation and videos. She mostly uses Procreate, Adobe Photoshop and Premiere, and other Microsoft Suite tools. In this company, she has worked with lots of in-house designers, other freelances, and external parties to ensure timely delivery of assigned titles and projects. 2. What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in?  Strongest skill would be her attention to detail, strong communication skills, and multitasking abilities as well. On top of that, she’s great with time management and delivering projects on time. For the technical tools, she mostly uses Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office, and other design/editing tools available. 3.
