Could you introduce yourself and tell us about you? Your current / recent jobs and employers? Previous companies and jobs? He has over five years of experience in the industry and originally comes from Italy. He has been living in China for the past 10 years. During the early years in China, he worked mostly in the education industry before moving into gaming, which had always been a childhood dream. He spent five and a half years at XXXX, where he held various roles related to user experience. He started in the UX department as a game assessment engineer and later moved into a dedicated user experience role. Many of the responsibilities overlapped, so while the titles weren’t always clearly defined, he handled most of what a user researcher typically does. He also contributed as a game designer at times, giving him a well-rounded experience in the field. In addition, he previously worked as a marketing manager in Italy and had a brief stint in the UK as a purchase executive, though that part is less relevant to his current focus. What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in? His strongest skills come naturally to him. He’s someone who naturally analyzes and breaks down details in daily life—whether it’s making a purchase or evaluating pros and cons. He has strong analytical skills and can clearly communicate his opinions in a way that’s easy to understand. He’s comfortable working with different types of stakeholders, including game developers, users, and cross-functional teams, and has always worked well in a team environment. He’s also been deeply passionate about gaming from a young age. Starting with consoles like the Sega Mega Drive and Super Nintendo, he has owned nearly every console released and considers himself a retro game collector. Working in the gaming industry has been a long-time dream, and he approaches the work with genuine enthusiasm, always aiming to help create the best possible gaming experience. Do you have the lists of key criteria’s according to the clients’ requirements? Back at XXXX, he was involved in market research and supported communication throughout the game development process. His main role was to act as a link between developers, users, and programmers. Sometimes he helped analyze specific issues raised by designers, while at other times, he had to identify unclear problems in the product himself. He used different approaches, including personal analysis and gathering player feedback through surveys, playtests, beta tests, and interviews. His goal was to summarize insights clearly and share them with the design team to help guide improvements. He worked with games at all stages—from early concept to final release—giving him a solid understanding of the full development cycle.
